This Friday we caught up with Teri-Anne Brennan, a Group Talent Acquisition Manager for Enterprise Holdings in South Florida. She was gracious enough to take the time to talk about her experience with CareerPlug and the hiring process.
How long has your company been using CareerPlug?
2 years
How has your hiring process changed since you began using CareerPlug?
CareerPlug has saved my Talent Acquisition Managers a ton of time. They can focus on the sales part of their position – picking up the phone and calling candidates. In the past, they spent a ton of time searching career sites, scanning resumes, sending emails, etc. With CareerPlug, they receive weekly emails with a targeted candidate pool (that already received personalized emails) and are able to cut out a lot of the tedious work. We’ve found that almost 100% of the people that say they are interested from CareerPlugs emails have already applied! And the ones that have visited the microsite are a great pool of warm leads. We’ve even begun using CareerPlug to campaign for our Open House events, and hard to fill positions. Huge time saver!
What’s your favorite part about what you do?
I love providing the training, tools, and assets that my team needs in order to supply our field with the top talent they need to build their business. My favorite part of my position is seeing my team succeed.
What is the best moment you’ve had during the hiring process?
The best moment for me is the offer stage.
What do you do outside of work that makes you awesome?
I am a mom of two – three if you count my Labrador, Bodie. We stay super busy with park and beach outings, birthday parties, and kid friendly happy hours.
What do you value most in your workplace?
Our employees. One of our guiding principles states that our brands are the most valuable things that we own. Our employees represent those brands – and they are why we grow and are successful.
What is the best pieces of advice anyone ever gave you?
The best way to gain respect quickly in the workplace is to perform – quickly.
What’s the best piece of advice you can give to someone struggling to hire new people?
Reach out to someone who is successful with hiring – don’t be afraid to ask for help. Have mentors at every step of your career.
What do you consider yourself an expert on?
Hiring top talent!
